100 Years in the Hundred Acre Wood: A Tea Tasting & Botanical Watercolour Evening in Ottawa

In 1926, a classic storybook introduced the world to a wandering bear and the wood he called home. A hundred years later, that story still holds something rare, a permission slip to slow down. On Friday, October 16, Atelier Maison Verte is bringing that spirit to life at Terra Flowers and Flavours in Ottawa with an intimate, seated evening of tea tasting and guided botanical watercolor painting.
This isn't a themed party with costumes and characters. It's a quiet, elevated tribute, the kind of evening where the honey light, the scent of tea, and the sound of brushes on paper do all the storytelling.

Guests arrive to a softly lit room at Terra Flowers and Flavours, styled in warm botanicals, vintage teacups, and the earthy palette Atelier Maison Verte is known for. From there, the evening unfolds in two parts.
The Tea Tasting
A guided flight of five teas, each poured slowly and introduced one at a time, with names inspired by a walk through the woods, think Honey Blossom, Acorn Chai, Thistle and Rose, and Forest Floor Green. No rushing between sips. No performance required. Just a chance to taste, talk, and settle in.
The Botanical Watercolor Session
Once the tea has done its work of slowing everyone down, a guided watercolor session begins. No painting experience is needed. Priscille walks guests step by step through a honeysuckle and acorn scene inspired by the wood itself, and every guest leaves with their own finished piece, imperfections and all, because that's the point.
The Take-Home Moment
To close the evening, every guest pots a small living propagation cutting to take home, a literal, growing reminder of the night. Paired with a curated loot bag from our local Ottawa partners, it's an evening designed to be unwrapped for days after it ends.
